Good evening Firebird Families!

This is Sonya Horton, principal of Southern Nash High School calling with some important reminders! It is hard to believe our summer is coming to an end, but  we look forward to seeing everyone very soon! 

We will be welcoming back our wonderful staff tomorrow to prepare for the upcoming school year. 

Tomorrow evening is our mandatory fall athletic parent meeting at 6:00pm in the gym. There will also be an athletic booster club meeting following the athletic meeting. 

Open House is Thursday, August 6th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Freshman Orientation meeting with parents will be held at 5:00pm in the Main Gym. The Senior Meeting will begin at 6:00pm in the Main Gym. 

Students may begin picking up parking passes this week from 9:00am-2:00pm. The schedule is as follows: 

• Monday, August 3: 12th Grade

• Tuesday, August 4: 11th Grade

• Wednesday, August 5: 10th Grade

Please remember to bring your proof of your online payment when picking up your parking pass. All required paperwork must be completed and payment verified before a parking pass can be issued. All outstanding fees, including student fees, library fees, and technology fees, must be paid before a parking pass will be issued. 

Senior student drivers will have the opportunity to paint/personalize a parking space on campus. A Senior Parking Design Request form must be approved before painting. You must come to the front office to pick your parking spot before painting. You may come pick your spot & begin painting your space on Monday, August 3rd at 9am. You or a parent must be present to get your pass. All spots must be painted by Monday August 10th by 3pm. If you are unable to paint during that time frame please email Crystal Kennedy. 

The first day of school for students is Tuesday, August 11th.
