High School Resources
SNHS graduation requirements go beyond the state minimum requirement. We require 28 credits for students to graduate. The following chart from the NC Department of Instruction clearly identifies which courses are required. The total however does not include the additional electives required by Nash County Public Schools.
GPA Calculations

A: 90-100 = 4.0

B: 80-89 = 3.0

C: 70-79 = 2.0
- D: 60-69 = 1.0
- F: < 59 = 0.0
- Add .5 additional quality point to Honors courses
- Add 1.0 additional quality point to Advanced Placements, community colleges courses, or four-year college courses taken while in high school.
